If you’re thinking about joining our program or returning after an absence, we want to welcome you and congratulate you for acknowledging it’s time for change. We’re here to help make this journey easier for you!
So, you know that you need to lose weight. You’ve realized it before your doctor recommended that you begin your personal weight loss journey. If you continue down the path your on, your quality of life and over all health will keep declining. Or maybe for some reason, you’ve stopped putting your health first. After 3 or 4 months of trying, you’ve given up and reverted back to most of your old habits. You feel it’s taking too long to cross that “finish line” or get to that certain number on your scale.
There’s a reason why your past attempts have failed. There is no “finish line” when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. Practicing healthy habits daily is truly the only way to sustainable weight loss. For most patients that are beginning their journey, getting to that goal weight can seem pretty out of reach, which can make giving up after a few months a lot easier. Instead of focusing on the finish line or your goal weight, focus on the progress your making in this process.
Your most powerful weapon is your mindset.
If your having trouble staying in a healthy mindset, try these tips:
When you feel like quitting, ask yourself why you started. Did you have trouble keeping up with the kids, or grandkids with the extra weight? Did your last round of routine blood work show concerns that you were hoping will improve? Are you uncomfortable in your own skin?
Come in for an appointment: Our providers focus on small sustainable goals, and the resources that you need to help make achieving these goals easier for you.
