Homemade Almond Butter


Makes 2 cups

Serving size: 2 Tablespoons


· 2 cups raw almonds (toasted for 10 min at 350o if desired, then cooled)

· 2 Tbsp chia seed

· 2 Tbsp flax seed

· 1 tsp sea salt

· 2-4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

· ¼ cup coconut oil

· 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup

· 1-2 tsp vanilla (optional)


1. In a food processor or powerful blender (ex: Ninja), add almonds, chia seeds, flax seed, salt and cinnamon (if adding). Blend until powdery or desired consistency (I like it chunky).

2. Add coconut oil, honey and vanilla (if using). Mix until well blended and smooth.

3. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Serve at room temperature.
